Taking Back The Rainbow
God gave us the rainbow as a promise, and the world has turned it into a lucky charm. There is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, because there is no end to the rainbow. The next time you see a rainbow, be reminded of God's promise and power...and tell someone about it.

Taking Back The Cross
Jesus died on the cross. Now, the crucifix (a cross with Jesus hanging on it) reminds millions of people of the suffering He experienced in order to give us everlasting life. The plain cross reminds millions more that He is our risen Saviour. But the world has taken the cross and made it just another piece of bling. The next time you see someone wearing a cross, say, "I believe in Jesus, too!"

Taking Back The Church
Church became a social center with good intentions. A gathering place for Christians to meet and participate in a community of believers. But the country club mentality set in, and people who seek the Word are often ignored or shunned because they don't fit in. Different denominations have formed so that you can pick the type of Christianity that fits your beliefs. The world has crept in. People have "their" pew, they insist on tradition over Spirit-led services, and the real purpose of the church has all but disappeared. So start your own. Find a couple of people to gather with, and worship. Do it at home, find a quiet spot in a park, or a busy street corner in the city. It doesn't matter.

Taking Back The Schools
Your kids will spend nearly 2,500 days in school from kindergarten through high school graduation. Thousands of hours in a world you do not control...and in some cases, neither do the schools. Regardless, it is shameful that we Christians have stood idly by while a minority of people dictate what we can and cannot do when it comes to our kids expressing their faith. Majority is supposed to win...unless you don't vote. It is time, America, to say IT IS OK TO PRAY in schools. IT IS OK to study the creation theory. But don't forget about that minority group who wants to take your kids' rights to religiious freedom away. Invite 'em to church and tell them Jesus loves them.

Taking Back The Streets
When it is unsafe to walk the neighborhood streets, some cower in fear; others band together with their neighbors to reduce crime and violence by showing they care. But we need to look beyond our neighborhood, and look at what infiltrates it every day - teenage sex, murder, rape, robbery, violent crimes, white collar crimes, crooked polititians, etc., etc. Just turn on your TV and let it flow. It's not just the news hour, it's prime time. We watch and we become numb...so when it happens for real, we're no longer shocked. Let's replace the numbness with the Great Commission and the Great Commandment.

June 2009. "The 99" visited Erie, Pennsylvania. To support the production, over a dozen churches and hundreds of volunteers of nearly every denomination came to erect the tent, build sets, participate in the cast and minister to the nearly 10,000 people who walked through the production. What happened during that event was nothing short of miraculous. Over 3,000 men, women and teenagers came to Christ or renewed their commitments to their faith! Can I get an "AMEN!!"?
Charged with the excitment of the event, many of the people who participated in the event chose to keep meeting. Their goal...to take back their city and surrounding towns through prayer, praise, worship and getting involved. No evangelism tents, no Bible-thumping fire-and-brimstone preachers. Rather, this group has decided to bring Christian love and values to every day activities of the Erie PA region.
